- Sara Proudfoot Clinch, Producer Writer Director
I am Sara Proudfoot Clinch award winning producer, writer and director with 30 years’ film-making experience in the industry.
Proudfoot Films produces innovative and exciting films and documentaries.
I also make podcasts to record interviews with key guests, experts and creatives related to the films and documentaries I am researching, giving viewers the opportunity to hear the stories and follow my journey.
My background in archaeology and holistic health often cross over into my films. For me natural health, mother earth, creativity and imagination are essentials for a healthy vibrant mind, body and soul.
A documentary I am keen to make is Sacred Land which explores different tribes and cultures around the world who worship nature and considers the therapeutic benefits and healing that comes from just being in nature.
Two feature films in development are Ashes To India a chic dark rom com of love transcending cultures, spiced up with laughter, tears, birth and death set against the backdrop of vibrant Brighton and colourful India and The Chaperone a storm brews when mother and daughter spend Christmas together on an enchanted Greek island, one looking for love and the other hiding from it. What strange twist of fate do the Gods have in store for these Zoe Ball & Sara Proudfoot Clinch Photo: David Lodge/Getty Images native New Yorkers?
I am also a voting member of BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts) where I have premiered several of my films. This is very special to me. My role as a voting member is a huge privilege, responsibility and joy and I also get to attend film screenings, Q&As, events, masterclasses and more.
