A storm brews when mother and daughter spend Christmas on an enchanting Greek island, one looking for love, the other hiding from it. What strange twist of fate do the Gods have in store for our native New Yorkers?
- Synopsis
Magic happens in this enchanting rom com set on a Greek island at Christmas. The Chaperone tells the story of Diana, a fire fighter wrapped up in her hobby archaeology and all the mysteries that surround it, forsaking herself, romance and her vivacious daughter, Sarah, who has been invited to spend Christmas on the island with her new boyfriend Niko. The only snag is Niko’s traditional Grandmother has insisted on a chaperone, and although not her first choice, Sarah persuades her neglectful mother Diana to accompany her. Whilst there, Diana digs up fragments of an ancient statue, invoking interest from the Gods and the wrath of a local fisherman who secretly watches her and finds himself becoming attracted to her. Ironically it is her passion for archaeology that leads Diana to the very thing she is hiding from – love.
What strange twist of fate do our naughty Greek Gods hold in store for our native New Yorkers?
