Sara Proudfoot Clinch teamed up with celebrated Television & Radio Presenter Zoe Ball on this 35mm Anglo/Asian drama as a vehicle for Zoe’s producing debut and Sara’s directorial debut in drama. The film tells the story of four brothers who are set to send their father on his journey into the next life with a spectacular funeral pyre on Brighton beach, when an unexpected visit from an old family friend turns their lives upside down
This exciting film was shot on 35mm anamorphic involving a realm of extras, pyrotechnics, a huge crane on the groyne next to Brighton Pier, recreating India and the sacred river Ganges on the mudflats of the river Newhaven and the steps from the Chattri Temple high up on a hill behind Brighton town, a cameo from Saeed Jaffrey and lots more. This film premiered at BAFTA to critical acclaim to a celebrity and industry audience and screened at several International Film Festivals including Palm Springs, Sienna, Edinburgh, British Short Film Festival, Cairo and more.
