Nourish and 20:20 Cafe

This HD short film was commissioned by Nourish, a social enterprise who run a farm at Stanmer Park and the 2020 Cafe at Brighton General Hospital in the Mental Health Wing.  The film was used for their website, for fund raising and workshops for new employees.

Nourish was set up nine years ago by chef and manager Alan Lugton specifically to give opportunities to vulnerable adults and those with mental health issues and learning disabilities.  With head chef Tim Jones at the helm and assisted by his eager volunteers, the cafe is cooking up a storm with tasty home made soups, freshly baked breads, yummy hand made biscuits and more – all made with fresh ingredients from their farm.  The volunteers at the cafe and the farm thrive in this inspirational and hard working environment – learning social and practical skills and for some, valuable professional qualifications.  They all say the same thing – they love their work and they feel valued.  Nourish glows brightly as a working model for a successful social enterprise.
